Workflow

The best way to edit Insta360 ONE X footage is using Premiere Pro and the GoPro VR Reframe Plugin. This combination gives you the most flexibility to create high quality FreeCapture videos. The Insta360 plugin for Premiere Pro gives you a speedy no stitch workflow. You can import your footage straight from your ONE X into Premiere Pro for editing. See the video below for a detailed walkthrough on how to make FreeCapture videos using Premiere Pro.

With Premiere Pro you can make many different types of creative videos including, but not limited to, hyperlapse, timeshift, timelapse, 360 video virtual tour, tiny planet video, and more.

For hobbyists and enthusiasts, Premiere Pro is a costly monthly subscription. A much cheaper alternative is PowerDirector 17. This video editor supports 360 video editing and making FreeCapture videos. You can make hyperlapse and timeshift videos using PowerDirector 17 but there is no option to enable motion blur, like on the Insta360 ONE X app. Check out the video below to see how you can make FreeCapture videos using PowerDirector 17.
